Not 'market prices' as we have travelled extensively and know what photos cost. Please do not reply with the same cut, copied and pasted response that is used for all reviews when guests comment on the unreal prices for the photos. We knew the prices of the pictures were expensive before entering but not as exorbitant as the price card listed. She then walked away with a ticked off look on her face. She waited until my husband left the gift shop and then came over to whisper in my ear 'how much money do you have on you?' She got the hint when I said a stern 'no' to her. The photographer seen the shocked look on my face when I read the pricing card and said not to worry as those were not the prices we had to pay. A cash grab for sure as no family group photos. 39 USD for a single photo and then extra charges if you wanted to purchase photos of additional family members.

Outside photography devices are not allowed. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience until we went to go look at the photos. We did the dolphin 'encounter' experience on February 16th. I hope they revamp what the program includes, include a photo and make sure there’s enough food for everyone. The Dolphin Encounter itself made the excursion worth it, I’m glad we did it. The other options were some kind of pasta, corn on the cob, hot dogs & rice. There was enough ‘jerk chicken’ (tasted like regular grilled chicken with BBQ sauce on it) for each of us to get a tiny piece, we figured they’d replenish as it was buffet style. Lunch was to be included with our package, we arrived at the restaurant around 2pm. But, they were $40 EACH! Even if we each got only one image, that’d be $280, such a tourist trap! This was the biggest let down of this excursion as it would’ve been great to have a photo as a keepsake of the outing but I was not spending that kind of money on a photo. Her dolphin, Bettah, was the sweetest! There was a photographer taking pictures of us at the beginning of the encounter he took about 200 pictures total between the 7 of us and they turned out great. She provided a bunch of facts about dolphins which we all found informative. He harassed us for a tip - not quite sure why he felt entitled to one but he did which was a huge turn off. 2 of us did and the instructions he gave, from the bottom of the slide, was to go up the stairs (pointed to them) and go down the slide but cross your arms on the way down, that was it. Lockers are available for $8 each, you get $3 back once you return the key you’re not allowed to take your phone with you during the encounter so you’ll need one.Īfter picking everything up, there was a man trying to round us up to go down the waterslide. This included round trip transportation, lunch, the Dolphin Encounter and their other attractions (a water slide, holding an iguana, posing with Love Birds, feeding birds, snorkeling with sting rays, a pool & a few bars). We paid $100 for adults & $95 for children. As a special administrative region, Hong Kong maintains separate governing and economic systems from that of mainland China under the principle of “one country, two systems”.My group of 7, ranging in age from 7 to 42, really enjoyed this excursion we opted for the Dolphin Encounter. The whole territory was transferred to China in 1997.
